4S shows connection but no data transfer takes place

My iPhone 4S is fully up-to-date (8.1.3) and it shows max signal strength when connected to my router. iPad and iPad mini show the same and connect faultlessly from the same kitchen table. The iPhone, however, although showing full connection strength, all Internet attempts just time out.

I've tried re-starting the phone; I've tried "forgetting" the network and re-connecting - no joy!

Help please?

Have you tried resetting the router? It's been known to help on other cases.

Reset your router. I fix phones and iPads as a hobby. I see this all the time. At the very least it is a free attempt to fix it.
