3GS problem

I am quite in a jam myself. Heres my problem which is similar to the others
I have a Iphone 3Gs and basically its showing nothing but a snowflake and at time it shuts down and sometime it shows that the better is dead meaning it needs charge
please help me with this one

I'd give it a restore first and see what happens when you put a stock iOS onto it.
