I thought FaceTime was going to be available over our 3G networks.

Am I wrong or it is my phone?

It was a lie. I'm mad about it too

Thats not cool at all.
I guess jailbreaking might have to be something I do in the future then.
THanks

In general to the question
3G is only noe dedicated t oan Iphone of a companies carrier.

Wifi must be used. no where did one say this to the consumer. you see a commercial and bam you got it. wrong
example:

Sprint states in Advertisement UNLIMITED.

Hd1080P video uploaded is restricted to Hd720P unless wifi'ed
App Dl is restricted under 200 Mb unless Wifi'ed

while a $10.00 charge applies for a faster speed. never a larger mb up/download.

Unlimited is a crock.

so why would we expect facetime, a Webcam to work on a 2 way radio system, that has delays, why?

because wedemand it. and we pay for it.:iphone4vert:

Bump
411 theres way if you purchase the app in Cydia. Even though there's not a truly unlimited plan you can still use it for a sshort while. Im going to test in a few days how much data per minute it uses for FaceTime and I'll update this.

While FaceTime isn't an option on 3G, Skype works pretty well (for me) on 3G. It requires registration, but the service and the app are free.

Sent from my iPad using iPF.net

Since it's well established that FaceTime is not natively available over 3G... still yet. THREAD CLOSED!
