Last night I went to a wedding reception where I tried to take some pictures. The room was very dark as dj was on. Pictures came out like a grey mist. I read forum somebody suggested removing it from case this slightly improved it but very poor quality for what is supposed to be a £600 phone you could make out the person but struggled to make out who was in them. My next question is it possible to put videos on phone onto a watchable DVD.

I'm assuming you we're using flash photography.
Another option is to use HDR, but you really need a static object for this to work well.
Never tried putting iPhone movies onto a DVD, but my hunch is that you will need to convert them to mpeg. You can then use a program such as DVD Flick http://www.dvdflick.net/ to author and burn the DVD. This program is free, btw, and works a treat.
