Now there are plenty of Apps out there that can do about the same thing as Microsoft Office, but this is the real deal. Although currently a rumor, we don't see why not. After Bing got accepted into the App Store, it seem like Apple is getting along with Microsoft better than Google. This job opening over at Microsoft might be showing that Office is coming to the iPhone:
In addition to the current Windows Mobile 6.5 and upcoming WM7 clients, with the recently announced alliance between Microsoft and Nokia we are working to bring Office Mobile to hundreds of millions of Nokia smartphone owners, followed by other leading Smartphone platforms.
So we have the iPhone where the last census brought it to being the second choice in smartphones, not too far behind RIM, and catching up!

Today AT&T stores will open early with most stores opening the doors at 7:00AM to begin the launch of the iPhone 4 for those customers that weren't able to pre-order the phone. The retail stores will have a limited supply of phones available and lines are already being reported around the country. AT&T has also updated their website and made the iPhone 4 available to order. I've been told by an AT&T sales rep that orders could be received within 3-5 business days.

PCWorld has an interesting story today about iOS 4's possibly excessive demands on iPhone and iPod touch batteries. Many iPhone 3GS and iPod touch owners (including myself!) who have upgraded to iOS 4 have noticed that their battery is draining much faster than previously since they installed iOS 4. PCWorld says that some users are even reporting that their battery life has been slashed in half. Some have blamed multitasking for draining the extra power, but this can't be so as users with devices such as earlier iPod touches that don't support multitasking are still experiencing the mysterious power drain.
PCWorld trawled the Apple tech support forums for more information on the topic and found that Apple has been suggesting a full restore as a solution to some people. There have also been reports that it might be something to do with the "always-on" Wi-Fi connection, so its possible that switching off Wi-Fi on your iPhone or iPod touch overnight, or enabling Airplane Mode, might do the trick. There's also the possibility that the rumoured iOS 4.0.1 fix might address the issue. Stay tuned, as Steve Jobs would say!

Yesterday Apple started airing their new Facetime commercial on TV. Today, they posted the commercial on the web for everyone to watch. We've seen some of this footage from the Facetime "documentary" that Apple posted on their site after the keynote.
Personally, Facetime is awesome and a great idea. It's really sad that it is so hard to acquire the new iPhone 4. Give it a few months until the phone is really common, Facetime will be a hit, especially if they ever enable 3G Facetime(or 3G Unrestricter will do it).

Most of us are still waiting for the iPhone 4 Jailbreak, it's not here yet. But since we don't have Winterboard(or whatever they might change the name to), we need a way to differentiate our Springboards from others.
Now, this trick may not be as cool as a theme on your iPhone 4, but it will do for now. What it does is it allows you to put Emoji characters on your Springboard titles of your folders. In the end, it's less of a trick and more of a tip but hell, it looks cool!
There are tons of Emoji apps, here are links to two FREE ones that have worked for us:

Now we have all seen the update for Real Racing and seen it on the beautiful Retina display. But, has anyone done a comparison? Here at iPhone4Forum.NET we were interested in the difference so we made a video to go along with it!
The 1.22 update includes the following changes:
UPDATED FOR iPHONE 4 and iOS 4!
- Gorgeous new graphics perfect for showing off the Retina display with high resolution textures, more detailed car interiors, improved track graphics, beautifully updated menus and exceptionally smooth graphical performance on iPhone 4
- Even more responsive and accurate controls on iPhone 4, with three-axis gyro support in addition to accelerometer
- Smoother graphics on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3 with iOS4 anti-aliasing
- Support for iOS4 multitasking on compatible devices: switch effortlessly between your favourite apps
- Various minor fixes and improvements
So here is the first video of the comparison war. This shows off the first track of Real Racing 1.22 on the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. Check it out!

If your reading this site I'm sure you are aware that some people are having an issue with the iPhone 4 and it's reception. The reception can vary greatly depending on how you hold it, where you hold it, etc.
One widely accepted solution is to use the Apple "bumper" case which prevents you from making direct contact with the antenna and thus shorting it out/grounding it.
There are many who think Apple's solution to: "Just hold it different" shouldn't be the acceptable solution to this problem... so instead they are suggestion that Apple should make good by giving out the bumper cases to every iPhone 4 customer.
Do you agree? Disagree? If you would like one, Gizmodo has a petition going to try and get the mass effect going for that cause. To participate, follow this link:

Developers seem to be taking their time with releasing iPhone 4-enhanced games, there have only been a handful so far, but Firemint has announced a new update for its Flight Control game that it says takes advantage of the new iPhone 4 and iOS 4's capabilities. The update is free if you already own the game, and the actual game is only $0.99 anyway, so well worth splashing out on to make your iPhone 4 look extra awesome.
Flight Control has already been a huge success, selling over 2 million copies and earning a whole bunch of awards and honors, including iPhone Game of the Year from Pocket Gamer, and this latest version is sure to tempt lots of brand new iPhone 4 owners.
The game's high-res graphics have now been optimised for the Retina display, and you can see how crisp it looks from these accompanying 960x640 screenshots from the updated version. The highly addictive gameplay casts players in the role of an air traffic controller in charge of an increasingly busy airport. Players have to touch aircraft and drag a path to the correct landing zone while avoiding collisions. The game features five different airports, as well as multiplayer gameplay over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
