Wierd problem with group messages!!!

If somebody sends me a group text(a text to more than one person) and I respond it goes to everybody in his group even if they are not my contacts,so I get texts from them trying to find out who i am!Is this normal?

No it's not normal, and i never experience such situation when replying to a group message. Are you using the stock sms app?

yes its the stock messaging app.I have friends with droids and they have the same problem.

turn off "group messaging" under Settings>Messages.

PS...you will still be able to send out group messages, you just won't get a plural reply.

It does happen. It has happened twice to me. Now I know not to repo d to a group text haha

Had the same issue. Now i just start a separate text to respond to sender to avoids receiving the 15 "who is this" texts.
