I think something has changed with mail. I noticed when it checked for mail it said downloading 1 of 6 but only see 1 item downloaded. I did change a setting to manually fetch mail under the advanced tab??

those emails wont have been downloaded if you already checked them earlier before doing so on the iphone and had deleted them so it goes to download the 6 but then checks and only finds one new one you have not read or deleted off the server
