Lol actually it would be cheaper if you just get an edlebrock and throw a good carb on it. Ls engines are a dime a dozen man. I almost bought a truck just like yours with a carbed 5.3 with ls6 heads and a lunati cam. It was a beast! And that new-school ls sitting under the hood looked so cool lol

+1 LS motors give lots of bang for your buck and are amazingly easy to find in great shape.

Well, I splurged and spoiled myself with a new netbook. It's an Acer Aspire One AO756-2868 and I found it at a local department store (Kmart) for $340.00. I checked some prices online and it seemed like a great deal.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
    Processor: Intel 877 Dual core
    LCD: 11.6" HD LED lcd
    Memory: 4GB DDR3
    Storage: 320GB HDD
Card reader: 2-in-1 card reader (SD card)
    WLAN: 802.11 b/g/n
    Webcam: HD webcam
    Battery: 4 cell LiIon

It can boot from USB stick. I've already installed a linux distro on an 8GB USB stick (via unetbootin) and it boots fine. I'll resize the main netbook partition later and dual-boot Windows and Linux. I've been using Linux as my sole OS for over a decade, the last Windows OS I used was Windows 98 SE. Windows 7 is quite different. Now I have a dependable iTunes installation

It may not be the best netbook on the market but I'm very happy with it.

I used an Aspire One to run a lighting rig, it never failed me and was a great little workhorse......and that's coming from an Apple fanboy!

Hey, that's good to hear. Hopefully this little netbook will last me a year.. long enough for me to save for a MacBook pro.

Those little netbooks are impressive for what they are. I got an asus netbook a year ago and it never failed me. I got a nice asus 15"laptop with a core i5 and 6gb of ram in November so I sold the netbook lol
