I've had an Iphone for awhile, but I'm discovering I havent't the foggiest idea what it can DO. I recently saw a
gentlemen with an Iphone 4 who spoke into his phone and it turned to text to send. I can't begin to figure that
one out!

Same here bro, mine went in the shower, died, but I ressurected it somehow. dont give up on it! these badboys are tough and can take a little water and fancy solder work to mend it

I've got a little run of challenges lined up.

A. Replace a 6R8 chip in 2 devices (need an antex soldering ron at least)

B. Get a 3G out of boot-loop mode, and get it to fire up like an old car would do!

C. Buy and fit a 8 GB logic board from a battered 3GS and make it entirely pink! + like new

Thats only half of the list!

I used to be a forum moderator that specialised in PSP and their custom firmwares, for about 3 years, and this is pretty much the most involved I've been in a forum for a while now.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I had a lot of fun with message boads in the past. Bon soir!

Hey High Roller, glad to meet ya. I took my 3gs apart, totally. Installed new battery, new LCD screen. Cleaned every thing with alcohol, re-assembled. Works like a charm. Definitely tough equipment. Glad I could fix it, felt like I lost a good friend for those few days it was down. Thanks for the reply, chat again soon. Murph8up.
