About LinkBacksHey Guys,
I am traveling outside the country (to Asia) for work and I would like to use my old AT&T iPhone 3G with the local GSM carrier.
Can someone guide me as to how to unlock my phone.
I dont have Cydia on my phone as well.
My phone details are as follows:
Version: 3.1.3(7E18)
Carrier: AT&T 5.6
Modem Firmware 05.13.04

I don't think that you need to unlock your 3G iPhone. It should already be ready to accept any card sim. If i'm not mistaken, locked devices start from the 3GS to newer iPhones. So you should be able to use your iPhone 3G in Asia without worrying about locking/unlocking.

You need to jailbreak and install ultrasn0w to unlock
