Temple Run is already a massively successful game, of course, but now Disney Mobile, in conjunction with Imangi Studios, has ensured that the “Temple Run” name is at the top of the App Store charts again with Temple Run: Brave, the official game of the forthcoming movie. As Macworld notes in a feature on the new game, Disney Mobile has adopted a different strategy as far as movie tie-in games are concerned with this release, which looks to be paying off already. For Temple Run: Brave, Disney Mobile has concentrated primarily on making a game that plays well, rather than just promoting its latest film and shoving some gameplay in there as an afterthought. The Temple Run gameplay was already well-established, of course, but it’s a clever idea of Disney Mobile’s to associate its film, and its heroine, with the popular mobile game. And, as Macworld says, this is not just another stock version of Temple Run, it’s actually an update version of the game, including a new archery feature.
