Google has announced via its Inside Search blog that it has revamped the local listings feature for Google Search on mobile devices to enable you to see more details about the restaurant or business that you’re looking for at a glance. Google says that this is to enable you to make decisions about where you want to eat or shop or just visit more quickly and easily. Previously when you searched for a restaurant, for example, you’d get a list of local results with some brief details about the restaurant. Now when you click on the name of the restaurant, you’ll see a neat little mini summary of the restaurant, including reviews, photos, and other important details, such as opening times. If you want to check out some of the other search results as well as the one you just clicked on, you simply have to swipe the page either left or right to see the local result before or after the one you just looked at. Handy!
