Apple Stores Open to Huge Lines and Fanfare in Japan and Australia [Video]
Of course, unless you live under a rock, you probably know about the big iPhone 5 launch today. As Maura reported earlier, the new phone opened to huge crowds and long lines world-wide. We found a cool IDG news reel video showing the launch of the superphone in Australia and Japan (the two countries that opened up their Apple stores first by virtue of being in the most convenient timezone). Throngs of customers cheered as the doors opened and the long lines began to move. In Japan there were a ton of folks taking their fandom to a whole new level by dressing up in costume.
