About LinkBacksHave been trying to get my 3GS restored, having no luck at all.
One weird thing, when I open tiny umbrella it warns me to not restore, and that my host file is not writable.
1. I run TU in administrator mode.
2. I think I have permissions on host file set to read and write for any/all users.
Not sure if this is the entire issue I am having while trying to restore, but wondering what is going on.
Running Windows 7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anti-Virus and anti-malware programs are also known to lock the hosts file as a protective measure (changing it is a popular attack for malware). Disable those temporarily and see if that helps.
If you are Windows7 you really shouldn't have too many problems. Vista was much more of a pain...- Share
