    Jailbroken 5.1.1 cydia disappeared

    My buddy has a iPhone 4 running 5.1.1. I had it jailbroken with absinthe and he somehow deleted cydia off the phone and has been having problems since. He was uninstalling things in cydia and it vanished somehow. Is there a way to fix that aside from completely restoring the phone and re jailbraking it.

    This may sound simple, but has he tried rebooting the phone. Not a respring. A full reboot.

    Same thing happened to my Mrs and that fixed the issue. Unless he removed something to do with Cydia, in which case it will need a full restore.

    Search in spotlight for Cydia first....
    You can re-install Cydia if you have SSH installed... failing that it will require a restore....
