Ruined Iphone4 Network

Hello all,
I just got an Iphone 4 today. I had an Iphone 3g. So I get home, connect my new Iphone 4 to my laptop so I can get on Itunes and put all of my info from my previous phone on there. It asked me if I wanted to restore and "the name of my old phone" and I said yes. Well why did I do that? Now My Iphone 4 has a regular 3G network. I even pressed restore from the phone and it still restored back to regular Iphone3G settings. What can I do to solve this problem? Please help. I even tried to take the SIM card out but cant. How do I get my Iphone 4 back?????

Iphone4 works on a 3G network. Don't confuse the type of network your phone uses and the generation of your phone. IPhone3G is the generation, but the iPhone4 still uses 3G, that's why it says 3G at the top (I assume that's what you are talking about. iPhone4 is not 4G. Do your research before you buy.

I don't understand either. "Giver" gave a correct response regarding the 3G network. But I'm curious whether the new iPhone 4 works well otherwise now, after the initial Restore.
