when i go to safari, it goes right to the page i was at last. does that mean it was running data in the background, or does it just save your last visit each time? do i have to actually exit it somehow other than the home button?

when i go to safari, it goes right to the page i was at last. does that mean it was running data in the background, or does it just save your last visit each time? do i have to actually exit it somehow other than the home button?
It just pauses so when you tap back into it your just resuming where you left off. No data is being used when it's paused. If you want to kill it completely just close it out of the multitasking bar.
iPhone4 keeps me in touch with my woman. Whats more important? Nothing.
