aaLuminate is a new assistive technology reading aid app for iOS devices

aaLuminate is aimed at people who find that a coloured overlay, glasses or lamp helps them to read more easily. This includes some dyslexics, migraine sufferers etc.

About 1 in 20 of us can increase our reading speed by more than 25% by using an overlay of the correct colour (the specific colour varies from person to person).

aaLuminate offers a cheap, portable solution. It runs on any camera equipped iPhone, iPod touch or iPad device running iOS 4 or above.
It costs just $0.99 or equivalent and is available worldwide on the iTunes App Store.

You can use aaLuminate in 2 ways ‚ to view text via the device's camera through an adjustable colour overlay on the screen (CAMERA MODE)
or as a flashlight to shine the adjustable coloured light onto the text you want to read (FLASHLIGHT MODE).

Search for aaLuminate on YouTube to see it in action

aaSsessMyVS is the new coloured overlay self assessment app

aaSsessMyVS has just launched on App Store for $0.99.
It's a sister app to aaLuminate the $0.99 assistive technology reading aid app.

aaSsessMyVS offers a cheap, portable way to assess whether a coloured overlay will help you, your family members, your students etc when reading. It runs on any iPhone, iPod touch or iPad device running iOS 4 or above.
The test takes only a couple of minutes and you can email the result to someone if you wish.

This makes the app ideal for education professionals assessing a group of students as well as for parents who wish to check their children and individuals who would like to self assess.

Please search YouTube for aaSsessMyVS to see it in action.
