Does anyone seem to be having any problems with there 3G signal in the uk, my iPhone keeps dropping its 3G signal and its really annoying, tried soft reset but still has the issue.. Any tips on what to do will be appreciated. If all else fails looks like I will go the apple shop
I don't know how you would do it with your carrier, but is there a way to update the roaming or tower? With Verizon we have *228 number we call and it updates the tower. Also, do you have roaming on, in case you are using a different carrier tower?
Yes i have roaming on, but its deffo a problem with the phone i had my business partner with his 4s next to me on Vodafone and he had full signal on 3G,mine was on Edge and would not call out where as he could make a call no problem and they are both on the same business package..I have asked for the phone to be swapped as i am losing calls..We await to see what happens. Wish i never would have bothered with the 5 now its pi$$ing me of .

*228 is no longer accepted with Verizon on the iPhone 5
I echo xrayeyes question. It sounds like you are saying it bricked their phones?
The first time I tried to dial *228 on my new iPhone5 I got a message that "this number is not allowed on this phone".. I'm happy I got that rather than whatever calamity you are implying happened to the early guys!
So, what's up? Are we to assume that the PRL are now automatically updated in some manner? We no longer have to worry about this since it's an LTE thing? What happens when we are on 3G? Are we possibly missing strong signals from new towers that we would normally have been updated to?
Sorry for possible "stupid" questions - but maybe the "short answer" might clear the fog here..
I would update my Droid 2 once a month using *228, option 2. All it ever did, if necessary was update my PRL's. I know when I got my Bionic it wasn't necessary anymore but I never heard they stopped doing it because of issues. I just figured that they finally got around us having to do it ourselves.
