    The camera on my iphone4 wont work.

    Hello im new here. I have my Verizon iPhone4 jailbroken on ios 5.1.1. Today i noticed that my front cam wouldnt come up in faceinhole. I then went to te stock ios cam app. It is now stuck on the front cam and i cant use it at all. Only way to use back cam is in facebook app. Or bitesms. Does anyone have any idea why this is happing? Thanks for any help.

    Yes and it still wont work. I am jailbroken. But dont ser that as the issue.

    Do you have Springtomize 2 installed?

    If so...then check the "Capabilities" section.

    If not...then...idk...disable Mobile Substrate addons one by one...checking to see of the camera works each time.

    It is not the jailbreak that caused this...buy most likely a tweak you installed.

    No i dont have Springtomize 2. And ok i was in there earler. But had no luck. But i never shut all of them off. And im not even sure when the last time my cam worked. But i could try to do a restore and see if it works later. Am at work now.

    It is best to NOT restore from a backup when you are restoring to resolve a problem.

    Just defeats the purpose. Problems get "backed up" too.

    Use a really old backup...or one better and setup as new and don't use a backup at all.

    Ok sorry i meant just a normal itunes restore or what its called. The one that dont use the backup of the iphone.

    Not sure if this matters. But the back cam works in facebook. Its that the app is stuck trying for the front cam

    Not when your in the Camera.app? Or lock screen camera?
