Apple is not only an innovative company in the technology field, but in the business sector too. Recently, senators have been vividly attacking Apple’s tax policy, accusing the company of not submitting to the US tax law. The Senate Permanent Subcommittee found that the tech giant apparently managed to dodge the holy American duty of paying taxes. The total sum has been calculated to $9 billion and applies to the year 2012.

Tim Cook has appeared before the Subcommittee in an attempt to shed some light on the situation. He argued that his company is a major taxpayer and last year $6 billion have been pledged to the U.S. government.

“We expect to pay even more this year. We play all the taxes we owe”, stated the Apple CEO.

Leaving this official testimony aside, mister Cook was pretty well received in Capitol Hill. Even head chairman Carl Levin who presided the case against Apple, admitted he owns an iPhone and is very happy with it. In fact he called it “a terrific instrument”.

Other senators approached Cook to ask some tech specific questions instead. For example, John McCain asked the Apple CEO to explain the necessity for constant app upgrades. Cook replied very politely: “Sir, we try to make them better all the time.”

The Apple boss also met New Hampshire Republican Senator, Kelly Ayotte, who was thrilled to make his acquaintance and confessed she too owns an Apple device – this time, an iPad. So, as far as we can see, Apple might find a lot of supporters amongst the Senators in Capitol Hill that could help with resolving the tax issue.

Recently, I went to update iTunes because it wanted me too and I accidentally clicked "Update iPhone" &nbsp;(because I was in a rush), because it popped up out of nowhere. My iPhone was jailbroken (of coarse) and now it's stuck in recovery mode. It is literally stuck there. It's been 4 days now I've tried everything. Here's is what I've tried:

tinyumbrella (reboots my iPhone onto the same screen)
Tried restore it normally and tried downgrading (Obviously won't work because of jailbreak)
RecBoot (Nothing happens)
fixrecovery (I'm not sure how to completely use it. It's has to do with terminal and stuff so it's pretty complicated)
DFU mode (Nothing)<br>iReb (Nothing)
Blackra1n
SSH opening (iFunBox) (configuring files in the iPhone directly)
redsn0w (tried recovery fix, usually it freezes on the black screen)

So in conclusion I've basically tried everything so far besides trying to get rid of the jailbreak. I don't know how to fix it, is my iPhone completely gone? Is there someway I can get in and restore it to normal without iTunes. Kudos

Hi Guys,

I need some help. I have an iPhone 4 with with ios 6.1.3

I work as a first responder. Everytime we get a "call" it comes as a page to our cell phones via our phones email address from our dispatch. I work 24 hour shifts (we can sleep at night time), and that is where my question to you guys is.

What is the loudest, most annoying tone that can be played for when I get an SMS? I would like to set this for when I am sleeping. How do I set this up?

Currently, I downloaded a unique tone for when I get pages from dispatch, so I'd either like to somehow make that tone louder or just find a separate tone that is louder than that. Interestingly enough, for the tone I downloaded, it is played at a much higher level when used as an alarm tone for an alarm in the clock app then when used as a tone for an sms.

Thanks all!

Hello, recently my iPhone crashed pretty bad with 6.1.2 Evasi0n and I had to do a complete restore to 6.1.3. Well...ever since then BOTH iMessages and SMS will not work whatsoever. Calls and data work perfectly fine, but when I try to send a message it will load about 90-95% of the way then the bar will just stop. It will stay like this for quite a while, and when I check later either the message I tried to send will simply be not there, or if I attempted to send one to myself the conversation will just be a blank page. Also, it can still detect whether it should send an SMS or an iMessage, however nothing will work. I haven't received a message once during this time either, and I've even had other people send me stuff to no avail.

I have an iPhone 4 on redsn0w tethered with 6.1.3. However, it may not even be iOS itself because I have done two COMPLETE restores and even when my iPhone is in complete stock mode, my messages will not work at all. Perhaps it has to do with the SIM card? My iPhone is factory unlocked and being used with Straight Talk on AT&T, so messages should work with absolutely no problem. Being jailbroken but not booted in tethered mode or actually being booted in jailbroken mode makes no differnence whatsoever. Please help!! I haven't been able to send or receive messages for over four days now! Thanks, any help is appreciated!

1 - Other than eBay, where can I buy a factory unlocked model? Does Apple sell them? Or Verizon and AT&T?

2 - If I buy one on eBay, how can I be sure it's factory unlocked? Is there a way to test it?

3 - How exactly do sim cards work? Can I use the one on my Samsung T-Mobile phone or do I need to buy a new one?

Also, how soon do you think we'll see a price drop and are there any sales coming up?

I searched. I searched on Google, I searched on this forum. Nothing explains how to transfer my contacts from my old phone's micro sd card to the new iPhone 4S. I am with Virgin Mobile, they're no help. The Best Buy rep that the spouse went to insisted they don't handle Virgin Mobile - I guess he didn't want to work that day.
I see the card slot on the side of the 4S, got it open with a tiny paper clip, but my micro sd doesn't seem to fit, and I'm not going to force it. Does this take a different size SD card?
Thanks for the help!

Hi falks, Ive got a problem with my iphone 4s. The alert and keyboard sounds and also lock sound come from earpiece instead of speaker. This is happened after using mobiola headset app and playing the sound from pc using iphone earpieces , so this app allow you to speak with your friends on yahoo or oovoo by your phone on ears like speaking on simcard call, this is good for pcs that doesnt have microphone and headphone. Ive read in the net that this is because of skype bug on iphone which doest similar as mobiola headset( use earpiece as an output for sound) and THE SOLUTION is connecting the headset through jack and plugging out that will fix the problem, but after respring again this problem occurs and you need to plug in and out again and the sound will come through speaker until next restart or respring. OTHER SOLUTION was launching Skype app and going to the number dialing display part, the by clicking each button the sound comes from speaker just as plug in n out does but again this fix is temporary solution , I know this because of software problem and i dont want to restore my 6.1.2 iphone 4S , so anybody can help me handle this? Does anyone have experienced such an issue? I appreciate your HELP!
