Apple's 'budget iPhone', the polycarbonate iPhone 5c, has been perceived by many as a flop, albeit it has managed to outsell even the Samsung Galaxy S5 in certain countries and time-frames. But now fresh reports suggest that Apple plans to stop producing the plasticky iPhone 5c sometime in 2015.

Apple’s suppliers Wistron and Foxconn are said to gradually decrease the production of the device, which could be discontinued in the middle of the next year. Previously, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, hinte that the production of the iPhone 5c and the iPhone 4S would end later in 2015.

AppleInsider reports that the official Star Wars Twitter account has confirmed that the first teaser trailer for the eagerly awaited (putting it mildly!) Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie will be posted on Apple’s iTunes on Black Friday. Apple seconded the news with its own confirmatory tweet.

The move by Apple comes after Lucasfilm previously said that just 30 theaters in the U.S. would be showing the 88-second trailer on Friday, meaning that everyone else in the country who didn’t happen to be in one of those 30 theaters would miss out.

Now, thanks to Apple, anyone who wants to see the trailer can watch it on the iTunes Movie Trailers app, the iTunes desktop app, and the iTunes trailers website.

The forthcoming episode VII of the Star Wars franchise has been directed by J.J. Abrams, and is due for release in over one year from now, on December 18, 2015.

9to5 Mac reports today on new data provided by the Pocket app that would seem to indicate that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners are using their phones to browse the Internet instead of their iPads.

According to Pocket’s figures, just 55% of iPhone 5s owners used their phone to view content rather than the iPad. This is in comparison to the massive leap up to 72% of iPhone 6 owners and 80% of iPhone 6 Plus owners.

It seems that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners are using their iPads a lot less than do owners of smaller iPhones to view content.

This version of The Longest Journey has been specifically remastered for iPhone and iPad devices. Here's how its description sounds like:

The original game has been quite popular, so chances are it will enjoy the same success on the mobile iOS platform, as well. Go ahead and follow the link from below to download it.

Apple's PR team is creating some new commercials that are a bit different than their usual faire. Instead of tugging at your heart-strings, these two commercials are trying to tickle your funny bone. The first one shows a couple of nerdy gamers arguing with each other as they play the same MMO game on their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The banter is pretty funny in that geeky gamer way.

You can see the second one in the thread below. It demonstrates the ability of the iPhone 6 to make phone calls through other Apple devices, like an iPad and Macbook. The resulting video is very goofy, yet gets the point across well. Share your opinion on these odd new commercials from Apple

With iOS 8 and the upcoming Apple Watch, our favorite fruit company has gotten serious about health and fitness. The addition of the Health app is fantastic, with plenty of third party applications beginning to support the SDK, however some of us may want something a bit more simple.

Stepper 2 is a Jailbreak tweak looking to have you throw away that old, plastic pedometer. The tweak uses the iPhone 5S, 6 and 6 Plus motion co-processor to track the users steps throughout the day and display activity on the status bar, slide to unlock slider, and/or Lockscreen.

Within the Settings, the user can choose where the steps taken throughout the day will be shown, set a daily goal with a push notification, and even adjust the position of the step counter on the Lockscreen. Stepper 2 is prices at $1 and can be found under the BigBoss repo in the Cydia store.
